If you happen to hit it, you'll need tiny amounts of damage, almost as if it were a shield. Instead, you'll want to summon some Ashes like Lone Wolf Ashes to distract Mad Pumpkin Head. Then get around to its backside for some easy slashes. Repeat this process and you'll make light work of the boss.
The easiest location to farm for the item, however, is at the Saintsbridge in northern Limgrave where you'll find a Mad Pumpkin Head enemy on the bridge right near the Site of Grace. Killing Mad Pumpkin Heads shouldn't pose too much of a problem.
1 Malenia, Blade of Miquella / Malenia, Goddess of Rot
The rest of the fight has a beautiful and deadly rhythm to it, one worthy of the hardest boss in Elden Ring. The satisfaction that comes from finally defeating this seemingly impossible (and optional) boss is perhaps unmatched throughout all FromSoftware titles.

Elden Ring Radahn boss battle
You should be at least level 70 before fighting Radahn, ideally with a powerful weapon suited to your chosen build, such as the Moonveil Katana, or strong spells with good range, including Comet.
The Mad Pumpkin Head is slow but can hit hard if you are at a low level. Beware of its surprisingly long reach due to a spinning ability from its flail. For those experienced with FromSoftware's offerings, this enemy is reminiscent of many throughout its games and will be relatively simple to take down.

- Choose a pumpkin that is large enough to fit over your head.

A very good way to go through waves, until any Pumpkings arrive at wave 7, and even kill some if aiming correctly, is to use a Cannon at a platform 37 blocks high from the ground (where the enemies are) as each Cannonball deals 300 damage, which is devastating for the early waves even for Mourning Woods.

Godrick's Weaknesses
He is particularly weak to Bleed damage, which is typically best used on fast weapons to build up the hidden Bleed meter much faster. He is also weak to Poison damage, and can be poisoned for consistent damage in this already-lengthy fight.

When should I stop leveling Dex Elden Ring?

As a spellcaster, most of your spells are gonna get blocked by his big ol' pumpkin head. He doesn't have that much health, so you can just spam Glintstone Pebbles and should be able to defeat him even if they hit his helmet, but it will take time to whittle him down, requiring you to dodge more of his attacks.

Can you cheese Radagon?
Do NOT melee attack Radagon. Do NOT lock-on to Radagon. Do NOT move once he stops moving. It may take a time or two to get the positioning/time just right, but once it does, it then allows players to cheese the boss.
Radahn is vulnerable to Frostbite and other status conditions, but especially Scarlet Rot. Rot Pots and arrows tinged with Scarlet Rot are good options if you want to take advantage of status effects for this fight. These weaknesses remain even in phase two.
Now, the first few things to remember are as follows: The Elden Beast is resistant to Holy Damage, but he is vulnerable to Scarlet Rot, so that's something to bear in mind. Using spells is not a sound strategy in this fight so you'll want to get up close and personal and deal some melee damage.

Probably the most effective way of protecting oneself against holy damage in Elden Ring is by equipping the Crucible Tree Armour. The entire set can be found in the Deeproot Depths, which can be accessed through the Siofra Aqueduct after defeating the Valiant Gargoyle and resting in a coffin.
Popular weapons like Blasphemous Blade and the Sword of Night and Flame work great for this, as do fire Incantations and Sorceries. Use any of these to deal huge chunks of damage to Radagon. Black Flame skills and spells work particularly well, dealing high damage upfront before dealing even more damage over time.
